Fashion website reports surge in sale following cold spell

An online fashion marketplace and beauty platform reported that its sale in Thailand surged by 70 per cent after the kingdom was hit by the cold spell on Monday.

WearYouWant, the website announced in its press statement that it recorded a 70-per cent increase in the sales of lingerie since the temperature plunged early this week.
The website said the increase might be contributed by the fact that many customers realised that their undergarments need an upgrade and they decided to make purchases online to get their lingerie delivered straight to their door so they do not have to go out in the cold.
WearYouWant’s CEO, Julien Chalté finds the development amusing.
“We cannot state whether this is related to the weather or not, but it is not difficult to imagine that the chilly temperatures may encourage certain indoor activities for which the lingerie would certainly be useful,” the CEO said with a smile.
