Regulations on PPP value to be ready soon

The new regulations concerning public-private partnership (PPP) projects are expected to be enforced shortly, said a government committee.

The regulations would lift the value of PPP projects which must seek government approvals under the Public-Private Joint Venture Act from Bt1 billion to Bt5 billion. This change is to speed up investment.
The PPP committee, chaired by Finance Minister Apisak Tantivorawong, held a meeting today.  Aside from the discussion on the PPP value, it also monitored the progress of fast-track projects under the Transport Ministry's supervision, worth a total of Bt334 billion.
Among them is the Pink electric train line (Khaerai to Min Buri), which was approved by the Transport Ministry. More details are slated for the Cabinet's consideration in March.
