Administrative court dismisses appeal against FAT president election

The Central Administrative Court Wednesday dismissed an an appeal for injunction to hold up the presidential election of the Football Association of Thailand.
The court hearing temporarily left the election hanging by a thread as to whether it could go ahead as scheduled after Tawatchai Sajjakul, Pol Lt Col Chaisap Tharat Rittem, two of the six men vying to replace Worawi, and Mukdahan Nakarach FC filed separate cases to appeal for the injunction.
However, the ruling by paved the way for the FAT poll to take place at Hua Mark Indoor stadium Thursday to find the successor to Worawi Makudi, who was made ineligible to stand for the reelection due to his extended Fifa suspension last month.
