Somkid orders AOT, airlines to discuss measures to deal with pilot strikes

Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak has instructed the Airports of Thailand to hold a meeting with Thai airlines Monday afternoon to discuss measures for dealing with possible pilot strikes, Deputy Transport Minister Omsin Chivapreuk said.
The meeting was ordered after Nok Air pilots protested and refused to fly, prompting Nok Air to cancel nine flights on Sunday, affecting some 1,500 passengers.
