Elderly college set up in Phichit

The central province of Phichit today signed the memorandum of understanding to set up the elderly college, the first of its kind in Thailand.
Under the MoU signed with Khon Kaen University, the provincial administrative body, the provincial health and social development offices, the college is designed to promote the elderly's role in society. With extensive knowledge in diverse areas like handicraft, agriculture, culture, linguistics and religion, they can pass the knowledge to younger generations.
Phichit is home to 49 senior citizens aged over 100 years. The most senior is aged 114 years. Today, certificates were also handed to these senior citizens.
