GSB to go offline temporarily

The Government Savings Bank will go offline for two nights to test its database-backup system and intra/inter-bank information network.
Its information-technology system will be shut down tomorrow from 11.10pm to 4.10am and on Saturday at the same time. The shutdown will last only five hours a day and will be late at night to minimise service disruption to customers.
During the shutdown, GSB customers will not be able to access Internet banking or use the services of MyMo, ATMs and cash deposit machines, GSB ATM cards, GSB Visa debit cards, all types of electronic payments for merchandise and services, inter-bank cash transfers (ORFT) and funds transfer from overseas to GSB Visa debit cards, president Chartchai Payuhanawichai said yesterday.
