Iranian foreign minister visits Prayut

Iranian Foreign Minister Dr Mohammad Javad Zarif paid a courtesy call to Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha at the Government House Friday.
During the talk with the visiting minister, Prayut congratulated Zarif for having played a leading role in negotiations with superpowers until the international sanction against Iran has been lifted, Deputy Government Spokesman Maj Gen Werachon Sukondhapatipak said.
Werachon said Prayut pledged to tighten bilateral ties with Iran and the two agreed to step up economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
Prayut also told Zarif that the Thai government was glad that Iran would buy a lot of Thai rice.
