Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha thanked the national football team for making Thais happy by guaranteeing its place in the last-12 team round of Asia’s World Cup qualifiers, Government spokesman Sansern Kaewkamnerd said.
Thailand snatched a point they needed to guarantee its place in the last-12 team round of Asia’s World Cup qualifiers following a hard-fought 2-2 draw with Iraq in their decisive Group F clash played at neutral venue in Iran Thursday.
Sansern said the prime minister admired the team’s hard fight and strength and he would like to thank the players, the coach and all staffs for helping the team reach the 12-team round.
