Death toll from blast in Pakistan's Lahore rises to 56: official
LAHORE, Pakistan - At least 56 people died in a powerful blast that rocked a crowded public park in Pakistan's Lahore on Sunday, a senior local official said.
"The toll has risen to 56. The rescue operation is continuing," Muhammad Usman, Lahore's top administration official said.
"We have called for military help. Soldiers have reached the site and are helping with rescue and security," he said.
