No flight cancellation at Phuket Airport

No flight was cancelled last night following flooding at the passenger terminal at Phuket International Airport, said Monrudee Ketphan, director of the airport.
She said that flooding at around 9pm followed heavy rain, overstretching the drainage capacity. The situation returned to normal two hours later.
She said that no flight was cancelled during the period as the runway was not flooded.
She added that officers were instructed to check the drainage system, but admitted that it would take time to drain all the water after heavy rain.
