Decha Hospital services suspended on substandard services

The Decha Hospital’s services have been suspended by the Health Service Support Department for providing substandard services, the department chief said Wednesday.

Doctor Boonruang Trairuangworawat, the director general of the department, said his department checked the hospital after it received complaints from some patients about the Decha Hospital services.
The complaints said the hospital turned off most of its lights and had only one doctor on standby and had very few nurses and while its emergency unit was closed, Boonruang said.
He said his department checked and found that the hospital owner died last month and the hospital was in the process of looking for a new operator.
Boonruang said the department found that the Decha Hospital failed to meet the standard of 100-bed hospital in line with its license so it was ordered closed for 30 days or until it has a new operator.
