Teen charged with murdering, burning 58-year-old gay lover

A 19-year-old man has confessed to murdering his 58-year-old lover on Sunday and burning his body in Bangkok’s Prawet district to conceal the crime, acting metropolitan police commissioner Lt-General Sanit Mahathaworn told a press conference Monday.
Following his arrest at the compound of Wat Kaew Pitak Charoentham, Patphum Yaemkhong, a former temple boy with a Prathom 3 education, claimed he had been pressured by the victim Sompong Boonyeun during their three-week relationship, according to police.
Patphum was captured on CCTV footage taking a large luggage bag, allegedly containing Sompong’s body, out of the victim’s condominium, resulting in his arrest.
