The raid against the house of Thawat Kachornchaikul, 68, in Tambon Wangdang Mueang district, took place at 11:30 am.
The officials found two male and two female tigers in four separate cages.
Crime Suppression Division deputy chief Pol Col Montree Paencharoen said the officials will check DNA of the four tigers to find out whether they match with three tigers that disappeared from the Tiger Temple in 2015 or not.
He said the CSD has received tips-off that the house might be a transit point for smuggled wildlife and tigers and the big cats might be slaughtered for hide and fangs at the place.
