DSI prepares special special team to arrest Dhammachayo

While the team was prepared to enter the temple, the Provincial Police Bureau 1 dispatched police officers to keep security around the temple.
Suriya said the team would take Phra Dhammachayo, the abbot, to the Criminal Court to be formally charged with collaboration to embezzle money of the Klongchan Credit Union Cooperative.
He said the team would negotiate with followers of the monk to allow them to enter the temple. If the abbot is found to be seriously ill, he will be taken in an ambulance to the Police Hospital before being taken to the Criminal Court.
But if the team is prevented from entering the compound, the DSI will inform the court and the Office of the Attorney General accordingly.
