New train can run at 120 km/h

The State Railway of Thailand on Saturday conducted a trial run of the new train No 939 on the Bangkok-Surat Thani (Thung Song )-Bangkok (Bang Sue) route.
Using a Hitachi 4507 diesel electric locomotive, the train can clock up speeds of up to 120
kilometres per hour.
Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha on Monday will preside over the launch of this
new train's maiden journey from Bangkok to Nakhon Pathom.
