Thai shares edge up

The Stock Exchange of Thailand Index slightly edged up today, standing at 1,501.20 points at midday.
At the level, it gained 8.68 points or 0.58 per cent, on turnover of Bt25 billion. Yesterday, the bourse experienced great volatility with the composite index plunging 44.20 points or 2.99 per cent before closing with a loss of 28.96 points or 1.90 per cent.
Asia Plus Securities expected limited recovery today. It does not expect the SET Index to exceed 1,510 points. Meanwhile, if the Index falls below 1,480 points today, that suggests a downward trend for the bourse which has gained 15.88 per cent from the beginning of this year.
