THAI Aviation Safety, Security and Standards Department director Flt. Lt. Prathana Pattanasiri said on Saturday that the firm asked for cooperation from the passengers who used this particular phone model not to open or charge the device while travelling on the plane and must not be placed in checked-in baggage. He also urged that if the passengers' electronic devices were broken or had unusually high temperature or yield smoke, or go missing during the flight or dropped in between seats, they should alert the flight attendants immediately.
He said these regulations were given in accordance with the firm's safety measures as well as the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) condition. For more information, go to www.thaiairways.com or call THAI Contact Center at 0-2356-1111 around the clock.
