10 Uighurs escape from immigration detention room in Nong Khai
The Uighurs escaped from a detention centre of the Nong Khai immigration office Monday night, police said.
Mueang Nong Khai police chief Pol Col Wutthichai Chanthopas said the illegal immigrants escaped through the ceiling of their room and cut a hole through barbed wires at the back of the immigration office.
Officials of the detention centre said heavy rains Monday night prevented them from hearing the illegal immigrants piecing a hole through the room's ceiling.
