Tourists were prohibited from swimming at the Maya Bay in Krabi Monday after Portuguese man-of-war was sighted in the sea.

Sarayut Tanthien, chief of the Hat Nopphrat Thara – Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park, said the park issued the prohibition for the sake of safety of the tourists.
Tourists were also advised to refrain from swimming at the Ko Phi Phi Lae, Ko Poda and Ko Phai where the sea creatures might also show up.
