BMA sends bigger garbage trucks, setting up toilets

Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is sending five-tonne garbage trucks instead of the usual two-tonne trucks to the area near Sanam Luang, while also installing 55 temporary toilets before Saturday.

Starting Saturday, people will be allowed to enter the Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall in the Grand Palace to pay their respects before the Royal Urn.
Suwanna Jungrungrueng, director of the BMA’s environmental department, said a garbage truck would be sent in every hour to collect litter in the area on weekdays, while the number of trucks would be increased during the weekends or holidays.
