Mercury atop Doi Inthanon drops to 8 C

The temperature atop Doi Inthanon dropped to eight Celsius degree Wednesday morning when a lot tourists flocked to the popular mountaintop in Chiang Mai to enjoy the fog sea and chilling weather.
Pornthep Charoensuebsakul, chief of the Doi Inthanon National Park, said the temperature on the mountaintop has been falling during the past few days.
He said the park was opened to tourists on Tuesday and about 1,900 them visited the park each day.
The park was closed during the rainy season.
