The Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) in October shrank for the first time in four months, as consumers were concerned about low crop prices especially for rice, increasing fuel prices, a high cost of living, and flooding, according to a survey by the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce.
The CCI declined from 74.2 points in September to 73.1 last month. A level below 100 reflects weak consumer sentiment.
