Ban on political activities to remain until election: Prayut

Speaking during his weekly press briefing, Prayut said the politicians did not resume political activities by joining the Constitution Drafting Commission (CDC) in the feedback heeding sessions, then they should continue to be suspended until the election.

As the CDC was working on organic laws to prepare for the upcoming election anticipated to take place next year, politicians called on the ruling junta to lift the ban of assembly in political parties imposed since the coup was staged in 2014 in order to resume working and make plans for the vote.
