NRSA members agree to Bt5,000 salary deduction for flood victims

Members of the National Reform Steering Assembly (NRSA) agreed on Monday to have Bt5,000 deducted from their salaries to raise funds for flood victims in the country’s Southern region.

Before the start of Monday’s meeting, NRSA chairman Captain Thinapan Nakata consulted with members about ways to help victims affected by ongoing flooding in 12 Southern provinces before they agreed to have their salaries deducted.
To provide immediate relief, two NRSA members, Seree Suwannapanon and Pol LtGeneral Suwira Songmetta, also voluntarily donated Bt1 million in advance, while it was also reported that some members had also donated more than Bt5,000.
