‘Benz Razing’ denies involved with Laotian drug kingpin
FAMOUS BIG-BIKE racer “Benz Racing” of Akarakit Worarojcharoendet Friday denied that he knew and was involved with Laotian drug kingpin Xaysana Keopimpha’s trafficking network.
He was speaking to the media at 10 pm after he was interrogated over five hours at the Narcotics Suppression Bureau (NSB) where he surrendered to dismiss charges that he had laundered money for Xaysana who has been arrested in Thailand.
He said he came to meet police to show evidence to prove his innocence.
Akarakit was released after the interrogation.
Pol Maj Gen Chatree Paisalsip, deputy commissioner of the bureau, said Akarakit provided good cooperation with police during the interrogation.
Chatree quoted Akarakit as admitting that he knew an arrested drug suspect , Natthapol Nakkham, because he and Natthapol loved super cars. Akaranit told police that he once borrowed Natthapol’s Bt6 million to pay for a down payment for a Lamborghini car.
