Buddhists across the country are urged to listen to the bell at the Temple of Emerald Buddha, which is said to have the sweetest chime one could ever hear and is rarely heard, at the investiture ceremony of the new Supreme Patriarch of Thailand Sunday evening.

At the end of the ceremony, bells at all temples in Thailand, including the bell at the Emerald Buddha Temple, will ring all together to mark the appointment of the new Supreme Patriarch.
TV pool will broadcast the ceremony held at the Emerald Buddha Temple at 6pm.
His Majesty the King will preside over the sacred appointment ceremony for Somdet Phra Maha Muneewong, the abbot of Ratchabophit Sathitmahasimaram Temple, to become the 20th Supreme Patriarch of the Rattanakosin Era (since 1782).
