PM submits revised charter draft

PRIME MINISTER Prayut Chan-o-cha has submitted a revised draft constitution to His Majesty the King for royal endorsement, Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam said on Saturday.

 

 

Wissanu said the submission was made on Friday evening.According to the post-coup interim charter, the monarch has 90 days to decide on whether to endorse the draft.

The deputy PM said details about the revisions, as suggested by the Palace, would be disclosed later.

“I will first report to the Cabinet next week. Then details of a press conference on this matter will be determined,” Wissanu said.

“I cannot give you the details now.”  

  He said the revisions made to the charter draft would have no impact on people in general.
