The activist’s lawyer unsuccessfully appealed to the court on Monday to reverse the decision by the Khon Kaen Provincial Court last week and discontinue the pre-trial detention.
The activist has been detained since late December last year for sharing an article by BCC Thai, which allegedly constituted lese majeste. The activist is charged with violating the prohibition against lese majeste in Article 112 of the Criminal Code and the computer crime law.
