The arrested road racers, who are mostly younger than 18, were paraded in front of reporters at the Wang Thonglang police station at 2 am.
The operation to crack down on road racers was jointly carried out by the Patrol and Special Operation (191) Division and Metropolitan Police Division 4.
Pol Maj Gen Surachet Hakphan, commander of the 191 division, said the racers were arrested from Pattanakarn Raod, the local road along Phraram 9 highway, Ratchadaphisek Road and Vibhavadi highway.
Police also seized their motorcycles.
Surachet said the youngsters did not test positive to drug.
He said polices stepped up crackdowns on road racing after they received complaints that teenagers raced on the roads more often after the summer school vacation started.
Surachet said police would further investigate and take legal action against shops that have illegally modified the seized motorcycles.
