DSI checks claims of suspects after arms seized

The Department of Special Investigation has been reviewing the interrogations of nine suspects who are allegedly involved in the recent seizure of heavy weapons, to see if there is further evidence to back up claims made by some of the suspects.

DSI Chief Paisit Wongmuang said the investigation team wants to ensure the veracity of some of the suspects' claims, which have linked other people to the case, including fugitive ex-Pheu Thai party leader Charupong Ruangsuwan.
Paisit said they want solid evidence to back up legal proceedings, not just a suspects' confession.
After reviewing the records, the team will interrogate the suspects further, he added.
The security authorities raided properties and seized weapons allegedly linked to red-shirt leader, Wuttipong "Ko Tee" Kottham-makhun. He has fled the country.
