Rayong roads under water following hours of heavy rain

Hours of heavy rain submerged several major roads in the eastern coastal province of Rayong on Wednesday morning.

The flooding reportedly started at about 9am. Several motorists reportedly abandoned their cars to flee to higher ground after flash floods rose very fast to submerge their vehicles.
Among the flooded roads, Chan-Udom Road behind Rayong Hospital was closed to traffic after water levels rose.
Flooding on the road in front of the Rayong bus terminal was about one-metre deep and impassable. Witnesses said the water rose very fast causing motorists to abandon their cars for safety.
