Economy tipped to expand 3.3% this year
KResearch projects the Thai economy will grow 3.3 per cent in 2017, with loan growth of 4 per cent.
Charl Kengchon, KResearch managing director and other executives from the firm, held a press conference on “Thai Economy in 1Q17 and Outlook for the Remainder of 2017”.
KResearch said brighter exports were expected to offset decelerating private investment, plagued by uncertainties about the US policies and political issues in Europe, though the strengthening baht remains a concern.
