French tourist delighted to get stolen smartphone back

A French tourist whose smartphone was stolen by a gang while he was celebrating Songkran in Bangkok was overjoyed to get it back on Tuesday.
Jeremy Gatine was given his phone back at a press conference held at the Metropolitan Police Bureau.
The press conference was held to announce the arrest of three Cambodians and a Thai who had allegedly stolen mobile phones by cutting off waterproof sleeve bags from their victims at major Songkran celebration sites in the capital.
Gatine said he would like to thank the Thai police for their speedy apprehension of the suspects.
He added that he was delighted to get his phone back because it stored key contact information.
