Statues at Takian Temple in Nonthaburi province are depicted as modern gadgets and luxury items including toys. Phra Khru Sangob Kittiyano, the abbot of the temple, said he had the stutes made to make a point about Dhamma.
"I hope people will look at these statues and reflect on whether those gadgets and luxury items are important. Should they go into debt to buy such items? the monk asked rhetorically. Among the highlights of the display were Transformer-inspired models.
