Police chase man delivering three meth pills for 30km

Police on Tuesday chased a truck driver who was about to deliver three methamphetamine pills to a client for 30 kilometres after police learned about the deal by chance.

Pol Captain Sarawut Panacharoen, deputy crime suppression inspector of the Bang Bueng police station in Chon Buri’s Ban Bueng district, said he spotted a worker sitting in front of a factory while he was patrolling the area.
The worker ran away after seeing Sarawut, who gave chase and captured him. The worker, who was identified as Wallop Panasi, 33, said he was waiting for a dealer to deliver three meth pills.
Sarawut then used Wallop’s mobile phone to contact the delivery man, who was later identified as Porn Sriikhanthamat, 34, and found that Porn was driving a six-wheel whiskey delivery truck on Chon Buri-Ban Bueng Road. The police captain then sought help from highway police to arrest the truck driver.
The truck driver realised police were chasing him so he tried to flee in the direction of Si Racha district. He then parked his truck in front of a butterfly garden and crossed the motorway to flag down a ride in a pickup truck to flee to the opposite direction but he was arrested after travelling about two kilometres.
