Throughout June, the public are invited to visit their local Tesco Lotus store to learn how to make the “Rasmi Chan” funeral flower to be used in the ceremony in October.
The retailer aims to make 110,000 flowers, which will be presented to the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration to distribute to members of the public who attend the royal rites.
John Christie, chief executive officer of Tesco Lotus, leads a team of management and head office colleagues to make funeral flowers during their lunch hour ever day.
