Bomb scare in Udon Thani turns out to be false alarm

Bomb disposal officers were called in to check a cylinder wrapped in adhesive tape that was found in front of a rubber factory in Udon Thani Wednesday morning.
However, the suspected bomb turned out to be a harmless foam cylinder used for covering compressor pipes of an air-conditioner.
Police were alerted when a worker who was about to mow the grass in front of the Sumi Rubber Thai Eastern Plantation spotted the object, which looked like a pipe bomb.
