Tourist boats at Krabi beach halt services

Some 100 long-tailed tourist boats at the Haad Nopparat Thara Beach in Krabi province halted their services on Wednesday because of the high waves in the sea.

The boats were moored on Wednesday morning after waves rose two to three metres high.
The officials also put up red flags on the beaches of Koh Hong in Tambon Khao Thong in Than Bokkoranee National Park to warn tourists against swimming.
Haad Nopparat Thara National Park officials warned tourists to put on a life vest before going out into the sea and they were allowed to swim only at designated zones.
Meanwhile, Krabi deputy governor Somkhuan Khanngern warned residents of Krabi’s eight districts to brace for heavy rains and possible flash floods and mudslides.
