Officials search another village in Mae Hong Son for illegal logs

Troops, police, forestry officials and Interior Ministry officials continued their searches for illegal logs in Mae Hong Son on Thursday, a day after they found a lot of illegal logs and wooden planks in the northern province.
The authorities began the searches at Philu village in Tambon Nateng in Pai district at 8am.
On Wednesday, the authorities searched Ban Sai Ngam village in the same tambon and found a lot of illegal wood. They had to use six-wheel and pickup trucks to transport the illegal wood from the village.
During the operation on Wednesday, some villagers tried to block the authorities from taking away the wood but the team managed to seize the illegal logs and planks.
