In the latest accident on Monday morning, a plastering tool struck the windshield of a car as it passed beneath the construction site opposite Kasetsart University. The car’s driver, Thanakrit Thanomkiart, was not injured, but his windshield was smashed.
Speaking to reporters before the weekly Cabinet meeting, Pichit said the contractor, Italian-Thai Development Plc, would have to impose stricter safety measure.
“I’m worried because several accidents have occurred,” Pichit said.
He pledged to summon SRT representatives to explain how Monday’s accident occurred and demand that Italian-Thai be held responsible.
