Tanker with 40,000 litres of oil overturns
An oil tanker-trailer carrying 40,000 litres of oil overturned on a road in the Muang district of Chaiyaphum province on Thursday.
Firefighters doused the tanker with water by 11am to prevent an explosion.
Police said the trailer overturned on the Chaiyaphum-Kaeng Kho bypass road.
The driver, Kan Naenwong, 46, said he was transporting 40,000 litres of oil from Saraburi to Kaeng Kho district in Chaiyaphum when a pickup overtook his trailer and suddenly cut into his way, prompting him to swerve to the left, causing the trailer to flip.
