A woman drowned in a pond in front of her house in Phitsanulok’s Prompiram district on Friday morning.
Neighbours found Krittika Pansup, 46, floating face-down in the pond in front of her house in Moo 8 village of Tambon Yangchumyai at 7am.
Her husband, Thawee Wanrakchart, 47, broke down in tears when he saw the body.
Her sandals were found on the edge of the pond together with two partially-empty whiskey bottles.
Thawee said he and Krittika got married four months ago. He said his wife liked to drink and might have been washing her face in the pond when she accidentally fell in.
