Police hunt for Facebook user who puts price on head of southern Army chief

Police are trying to determine who’s behind a Facebook page on which a Bt1-million bounty was offered for the decapitation of the Army chief in the South.

Pol Col Krissana Pattanacharoen, deputy spokesman for the Royal Thai Police, said police operations command in the southern border provinces was trying to identify the owner of the page called “Suding su Pattany”.
The user posted a photo of Fourth Army Area Commander Lt Gen Piyawat Nakwanit late Wednesday night and offered Bt1 million for his head.
The spokesman called the post a clear violation of the law and said the page owner was urgently being sought.
