Fire destroys two houses in Bangkok community

A fire burned down two wooden houses in a Bangkok community late Friday night. No one was injured or killed in the blaze, police said.

Pol Lieutenant Kittipat Dejphan, deputy inspector of Samsen Police Station, was alerted about the fire at around half an hour past midnight on Saturday at the Wat Thewaraj Kunchorn community on Si Ayutthaya Road in Bangkok’s Dusit district. The community is located behind the temple.
The community houses some 100 wooden houses.
Ten fire engines took about half an hour to put out the blaze.
Samsen police chief Pol Colonel Preecha Kongkaew said those whose houses were damaged would be provided a temporary shelter in the adjacent Thewaraj Kunchorn.
