Trang residents were Friday warned to brace themselves for heavy downpours that could trigger flash floods and mudslides from Friday to Monday.

The warning was issued by acting Trang governor Phakphum Intharasuwan.
The warning states that the southwest monsoon winds over the Andaman Sea would grow stronger during the period, resulting in heavy rains.
People living in low-lying areas and along mountains should be particularly wary of possible flash floods and mudslides.
