Security plan for cremation nearly completed

Security agencies have already drawn up plans to ensure maximum safety at the Royal Cremation Ceremonies for HM the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The late monarch, whose reign spans more than seven decades, passed away on October 13 last year.

Many Thai people are expected to join the Royal Family at the grand Royal Cremation Ceremonies, which are scheduled to take place this coming October.
“The key principles of our plans are to deliver greatest honour to the royals and the highest safety level,” Deputy National Police Commissioner Pol General Dejnarong Sutticharnbancha said Friday.
Security officials will inspect the venues for the royal ceremonies on Saturday, Dejnarong said.

Police and the military will work together to ensure security, with the Public Health Ministry also contributing plans for dealing with any medical emergencies at the cremation.
Dejnarong also urged people to help monitor the situation and immediately alert authorities if they notice anything suspicious.
