Roads closed for Royal Cremation

All roads adjacent to the Royal Cremation grounds will be closed from Monday night in preparation for the ceremony and a further 27 routes will also be shut down from Wednesday until the Royal Cremation is over.
Pol Maj-General Jirapat Phumjit, deputy commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, said he expected a high number of people to travel to Sanam Luang this week to pay their respects and bid farewell to the late King.
The police had to clear the area and prohibit the use of private cars to prevent traffic congestion, he said, so people wishing to enter the area this week can only go by foot.
