The Royal Urn of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej was being prepared to be transferred to Wat Phra Chetuphon, more commonly known as Wat Pho, as part of the first procession in the Royal Cremation.

In a ceremony broadcast live on Thursday morning, preparations continued to transfer the Royal Urn on the Palanquin with Three Poles, or Phra Yannamas Sam Lam Khan, from Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall in the Grand Palace to the Elevated Royal Pavillion on the eastern side of Wat Pho.
In the next step, the Royal Urn will be placed on the Great Victory Chariot, or Phra Maha Phichai Ratcharot, as part of the second procession before being moved to the Royal Crematorium at Sanam Luang.
