New Year tourist spending pegged at Bt34 bn
Kasikorn Research Centre has estimated that domestic and foreign tourists travelling in Thailand will spend Bt34.1 billion during the New Year holiday from December 30 to January 2, a 12.5-per-cent increase over last year.
It said that the increasing number of foreign tourists coming to Thailand would be a key factor in boosting the economy during this period.
