Bangkok bust yields 60,000 meth pills

Bangkok police said they arrested an alleged drug pusher in the capital early on Wednesday and seized 60,000 methamphetamine pills and 6.3kg of ketamine from his rented condominium.

Acting on tips-off, police arrested Apiwat Phakkham, 22, outside a house on Soi Lard Prao-Wang Hin 68 in Lard Prao district at 1am.
Officers monitored the house and spotted a man, identified as Nonsiri Mapiam, standing in front of the house. Police reportedly searched him and found a small amount of ketamine, which he allegedly said he bought from Apiwat for Bt500 per gram.
When Apiwat rode his motorcycle out of the house, police arrested him and he admitted to selling the drugs to Nonsiri.
The police said they took him to search his condominium nearby and found the stash of drugs. He allegedly claimed that the drugs belonged to a man he knew only as Ball, who hired him to keep the narcotics in the rented room to distribute to users.
